La casa del níspero opens its doors to g_b to carry out its first convergent residence guion bajo_JáfanaJafana 2019 in an alliance that was born in a delirious reading circle, in March of this year.

The estate was built during the first years of the Colombian republic, and its architectural style can be classified as Colonial. It's located on Calle de la Cruz, in the heart of Santa Marta’s historic downtown area. The spaces replicate the original setting of a family house in the Colombian Caribbean, which is what this place was for most of the XXth century: la casa de las Bermúdez, the Bermúdez household.

There are four guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, and large communal  areas, a fully equipped kitchen and a main court, filled with plants and blessed with two fruit trees, a mamoncillo (native) and a níspero (Asian), with a small pool.

El Local by JáfanaJafana is the adjacent space, which was originally the barn for the horses and carriages of the estate and has now been reconstructed as a cultural center, featuring a mezzanine with a small library and spaces to read, write and work.
